GATE-modelled systems

Validation of Monte Carlo simulated data against real data obtained with PET and SPECT cameras is essential to assess the accuracy of the simulation. The OpenGATE Collaboration is thus highly involved in the validation of GATE simulations. From the left  panel, you can access the list of commercial systems which have been modelled with GATE  with  comprehensive validation studies. These tables summarize the figures of merit (FOM) used for assessing the consistency between simulated and real data, as well as the major validation results and associated references. For more details about these validation studies, the reader should refer to the appropriate references. Overall, these studies illustrate the flexibility and the reliability of GATE for accurate modelling of various detector designs.
